One of Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer's signature moments in a career characterized by withering contempt for those who doubt his wisdom came after the passage of the monumental Assault Weapons Bill in 1994. You know, the one where Charles and Diane Feinstein got out Gun Digest and blackballed the ones that looked "icky". As we know, that law ended all gun violence in America until it was unforgiveably quashed years later by knuckledraggers insisting that the Second Amendment "lives".
Anyway, Charles was in the House when the bill passed and he took the Floor and bade those who had opposed the bill "Get over it!"with his customary sneer much in evidence. Well,what goes around comes around, Charles.
Get over the fact that you lost in 2016 and will have to live with it; you had much to do with it. Get over your year long hissy fit and think the unthinkable: you are the engineer on the Democrat train to nowhere. Oh I know, we can't retire you; you're empowered by the People's Republic of NY to be a scold to the rest of the nation. You'll continue to play hob with the real America to the best of your considerable ability in that regard but consider this: we know you better and better the more you bustle. It was in reaction to elitist snobs like you that we rose in 2016. You'll be remembered not as one of the great congressional leaders but as a strong argument for term limits. You'll never be Chief Justice and you, along with me at our ages, will never see the confirmation of eventual far left dictatorship in America you yearned for. There is not enough time anymore; 2016 put the quietus to that and the real America has woken and is MOTIVATED. Get over it!
I watched you at the State of the Union address and I've seen before what was written all over you that night. I saw it on Jimmy Carter's countenance as he sat on the inauguration platform with Ronald Reagan and telegraphed his realization that he had been bested, as you have been, by one he loathed. Because I worked in state prisons for decades I've seen it countless times on vindictive criminals when they were denied that, whatever, to which they felt entitled. I've seen it on petulant three year olds though they don't know better. Then again, maybe you don't either. No apology to you for cheap shots like that Charles; you've directed the onslaught of calumny our good President, a human being after all, has courageously endured for two years now. Get over it Charles! He's an hombre, every bit the remorseless hardball player you are.
You will never have the chance you expected to codify and institutionalize "political correctness" in our ever free country, hand in hand with the vindictive Hillary. Get over it! Jack

It never ceases to amaze me how self-satisfied leftists can be, and how dismissive of those who disagree with them. Gay marriage and abortion are two good cases in point. Okay, you believe in gay marriage and abortion rights, but is it really necessary to vilify everyone who sees it differently, and drive them out of your party? And don't even get me started on academia. Most colleges would gladly send every conservative to the gulag, if they had half a chance. I think the sad truth is that the left has become very self-isolated. That can't even perceive their own intolerance. The upside is that this makes them politically obtuse. Long may it last!
Dr. Waddy: Their hubris will be their undoing(although the term originated to describe true heroes who had nonetheless debilitating faults; but then, leftists see themselves in that exalted light sans the downfall). I can only imagine how hostile academia must be just now. It is shamefully compromised but it retains harrowing power. Nevertheless,I sense victory in the offing, if yet perhaps far off. Gay "marriage"(a term discredited by all of history,which confirms the intellectual incompetence of its adherents)and the willful killing of completely innocent unborn humans (which in any but a society polluted by "political correctness" would condemn its advocates to complete disgrace)define the radicals, to their everlasting shame.
